Our Story

Frontlines 2 Outdoors is a 100% volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit born from a simple belief: that the men and women who serve on the frontlines deserve to be honored, and that the outdoors can help them heal. We serve veterans and first responders — past and present — and their families, using hunts, fishing trips, banquets, and gatherings as our way of saying thank you.

It Started With a Thank You

In August 2023, two veterans and lifelong outdoorsmen — Brian Taylor and Joshua Cagle — set out to give back to the community they came from. They knew firsthand what service costs, and they knew what the outdoors could give back: peace, purpose, and the kind of camaraderie that heals. What started as a way to say thank you for your service became Frontlines 2 Outdoors, and the mission has been growing ever since.

Brian Taylor — Founder & President

Brian Taylor knows service from nearly every angle. He served in the North Carolina Army National Guard from 2005 to 2019 as both an 11B infantryman and a 31B military police soldier, deploying on two combat tours — one as infantry, one as an MP. He served in Iraq from 2008 to 2010, and in Afghanistan from 2013 to 2014, attached to the 18th Military Police Brigade. From 2015 to 2016, he provided high-threat diplomatic security with the U.S. State Department.

His service didn't stop at the military. Brian was also a law enforcement officer in North Carolina from 2007 to 2015 — making him both a veteran and a first responder, the very heroes F2O exists to serve.

Off duty, Brian is an avid outdoorsman with a deep love of hunting and fishing. Frontlines 2 Outdoors is where his two lifelong passions meet: giving back to those who serve, and sharing the outdoors that have given him so much.

Restoring Those Who Serve

We believe service leaves a mark — and so should gratitude. Our mission is to restore our frontline heroes through the outdoors: to honor them, to give them room to heal, and to remind them they're not alone. Every adventure is a thank-you. Every hero matters. And every day, we're proud to serve those who served us.
